Silvia Farias joined FACCC in 2006 as the Program Director for FACCC and the FACCC Education Institute, where she manages the professional development programs and provides support and direction with fundraising, research and writing projects. She also staffs the Professional Development Committee and co-staffs the Policy Committee.

Silvia grew up in the Napa Valley and received her Associate’s degree from Napa Valley College. She transferred to University California at Davis and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature and a minor in Native American Studies.

Prior to joining FACCC, she worked at UC Davis for the Davis Chancellor’s Club & Annual Fund for four years, and was the Annual Fund Project Manager with Sierra Adoption Services in Sacramento for two years.

Silvia makes her home with her daughter in West Sacramento. She enjoys spending time with family and attending cultural events.
