What are your goals in seeking FACCC office?

In these times of fiscal meltdown, FACCC must continue pushing for community college funding, adjunct faculty labor rights and preservation of our retirement system.  My pledge is to bring experience of the legislative process and a commitment to recruiting new members to our board.  Every area C college should be visited by a recruiter.  I will make that pledge.  Together, we must keep FACCC on track in its continual job of representing all community college faculty.  I have seen FACCC go through lean times and numbers do matter!  Added membership translates into a larger Sacramento voice!  Membership supports our staff as they testify before the legislature on issues crucial to faculty: for restoration of funding, COLA, PT equity funding, Keeping STRS healthy, Student access and a full share of proposition 98 funds.  I will support expansion of member benefits like health insurance, prepaid legal services, even discounts on goods and entertainment.  I ask for your vote for At-Large Representative.
