CANDIDATES
If you’re running for Assembly or Senate, FACCC PAC would like to speak with you.
The FACCC PAC interviews all viable candidates for Assembly and Senate except current officeholders seeking reelection to their same seats. Candidates who have never held state legislative office are asked about their positions on community colleges, while candidates with current or prior legislative service are questioned on their accomplishments.
Interviews typically last 20-40 minutes and are conducted across the state by faculty volunteers or FACCC professionals. While we prefer to conduct in-person interviews, we can schedule time for a phone conversation.
We do not provide candidates with an advance copy of the interview questions. Instead, we advise candidates to review our website prior to the interview.
Once we have completed all interviews for a legislative district, the FACCC PAC will determine its endorsement pursuant to the attached criteria. Campaign contributions are considered only for endorsed candidates.
Please contact Executive Director Jonathan Lightman, JLightman@faccc.org or 916.447.8555 to schedule an interview.
*FACCC uses a different process to endorse candidates for other offices. Contact Jonathan Lightman for details.
