Faculty Advocacy Network (FAN)

The Faculty Advocacy Network (FAN) is FACCC's grassroots system to influence state and congressional policy. We need to demonstrate to the policy makers that FACCC comprises thousands of dedicated community college faculty members, ready to respond to legislative action alerts at a given moment.

If you would like to join FAN, please take a few minutes to print out and complete the following form. To retain up-to-date information in our database, only those who fill out all questions on this form will remain on the FACCC Advocacy Network.

• I am interested in receiving FAN Alerts, asking me to respond by letter, postcard or telephone calls to state or federal policy makers. By checking this box, I am committing to responding to these alerts whenever possible.

  If you have checked the above circle, please continue to the following three options (check as many as applicable).

• I am also interested in becoming part of a telephone tree. By checking this box, I am committing to calling five of my colleagues to alert them of pending legislation. I will ask each telephone contact to write or call his or her legislator(s) about an upcoming bill, in addition to requesting that each dial one other faculty member with the pertinent information.

• I am interested in becoming a Key Activist for my local legislator. By checking this box, I am expressing an interest in meeting with my state and/or federal legislator(s) on a regular basis in their local district office(s). FACCC will provide training to those interested in becoming Key Activists.
