The deadline to submit nominations for the 2011-2012 FACCC Awards is January 20.
Award selections are made solely on the basis of the information provided. Recipients will be honored at the FACCC Advocacy & Policy Conference March 4-5 in Sacramento. This year's conference will be held in conjunction with the March in March.
Margaret Quan Part-Time Advocate of the Year Award:
Named for former FACCC Board member and part-time champion, Margaret Quan
This award is presented to an outstanding part-time faculty advocate whose work impacts faculty statewide.
Examples include: advocacy at the Legislature and/or System Office (including the California Community Colleges Board of Governors); and holding positions in statewide faculty organizations.
Part-Time Faculty Member of the Year Award:
An outstanding part-time faculty member who promotes FACCC
The selection committee will judge the application primarily on campus and district level activity. Statewide involvement will also be considered.
Full-Time Faculty Member of the Year Award:
An outstanding full-time faculty member who promotes FACCC
The selection committee will judge the application primarily on campus and district level activity; statewide involvement will also be considered.
John McFarland Literary Achievement Award:
An outstanding full- or part-time faculty member who contributes to the education of faculty, and promotes faculty issues through FACCC publications.
