| Description: | The California Community Colleges Student Success and Support Program Act tackles one of the major concerns with the Student Success Task Force report, the lack of faculty infrastructure needed to assist students through their college experience. Since the Student Success Task Force report was first unveiled, FACCC has raised concerns about its implementation without infrastructure. The measure would require the State to establish a fund, subject to available resources, to support the following needs: 1) Increased counselors 2) Restoration of student support services 3) Increased ratio of full- to part-time faculty 4) Expansion of office hours If properly funded, the measure would increase the capacity of the California Community Colleges to help students succeed in their college experience. |
