The Winter 06 issue of FACCCTS has received an Award of Distinction in The Communicator Awards - 2006 Print Media Competition.

The Communicator Awards is an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communication field. Entries are judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.

There were over 5,000 entries from throughout the United States and several foreign countries in this year's competition.

The Award of Distinction is awarded for projects that exceed industry standards in communicating a message or idea. The Winter 06 issue featured articles, news and commentary surrounding the passing of the Initiative (aka, proposition community colleges), including the following feature piece:
