Dr. Richard Beyer
Dr. Richard Beyer has been the counseling psychologist at Pasadena City College since January, 1994. In that capacity, he coordinates the personal counseling services, and works directly with students who have severe psychological disabilities. He received his Ph.D. in Leadership and Human Behavior from United States International University in 1977, and was licensed as a psychologist in 1981. Prior to that Richard was a speech therapist at Camarillo State Hospital, taught junior high English and literature, and high school band. He has been a director in-patient psychiatric and residential treatment programs for children and adults. He has presented at local, national, and international conferences on topics related to human behavior, and has maintained an active private practice in the San Gabriel Valley for over 20 years.
