Dr. Reyes Ortega
Dr. Reyes Ortega received his Bachelors Degree in History, followed by two Masters' in Mexican American Studies and Counselor Education. He earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership during which time he completed his dissertation entitled: A Qualitative Study of the Three Eras of Affirmative Action and the Chicano/Latino University of California Transfer Student.
Dr. Ortega has served as a Commissioner on the Placer County Community Services Commission, a Board member at the Auburn Boys and Girls Club and is currently a professor of both Counseling and History at Sierra College in Rocklin. Previously, he worked as classified, adjunct faculty and management at Ohlone College, San Jose City College, Stanford University and Saint Mary’s College.
Dr. Ortega is currently studying: Measuring the Educational Benefits of Diversity Between Online and On-ground California Community College Courses.
