Don Wagner is an attorney practicing primarily business litigation. He has represented clients before trial courts throughout the State of California. In addition, he has practiced before several state and federal appellate courts, bankruptcy courts, and handled complicated securities arbitrations before both the New York Stock Exchange and National Association of Securities Dealers. Mr. Wagner was educated at UCLA and the University of California, Hastings College of Law. While in law school, he served on the editorial board as senior technical editor for the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly and, more than a decade and a half before the terror attacks of September 11, authored a scholarly article concerning the President’s constitutional authority to respond to international terrorism. Don also spent two years as a teaching assistant in the subject of real property law. After obtaining his juris doctor in 1987, he began his legal career with an approximately seventy-five person firm having offices throughout the State. He was the firm's senior litigation associate when he left to open his own practice.

Don currently serves as an elected member and immediate past-President of the Board of Trustees of the South Orange County Community College District. He regularly publishes articles on legal, political, and cultural topics in the Orange County Register, the Orange County Lawyer Magazine, and other publications. He serves as a Judge Pro Tem for the Orange County Superior Court and on the Boards of Directors of two corporations and is a past-President of the Board of Directors of the American Lung Association of Orange County. Don founded and served as President of the Orange County chapter of the Federalist Society, a national organization of lawyers, judges and law professors. He is a 2002 Conservative Women’s Leadership Association “Hero in Education” award winner and recent finalist for the Irvine “Citizen of the Year” award.

Don has lived in Irvine since 1991 with his wife, an attorney and partner in his law firm. The Wagners have three children, girls ages 19 and 12, and a boy age 16. When not working or involved in political activities, he can be found on a sideline somewhere coaching baseball or cheering the kids on in soccer, football, or swimming.
