Associate Vice Provost, Student Diversity and Community College Partnership, and Director, Academic Advancement Program,  UCLA


"Immigration & Its Impact on Community Colleges"

Recently retired from UCLA, Dr. Bermeo is a Senior Scholar with the Pell Institute and a nationally recognized expert on increasing access to higher education for historically underrepresented, low-income, first-generation, and immigrant students.

Dr. Bermeo will joined by Dr. Reyes Ortega, Sierra College, Richard Galope from Los Angeles City Colleg for a more in depth discussion of this topic. The panel will be moderated by Steve Padilla, of the Los Angeles Times.
