Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Workshop

This virtual workshop is your opportunity to receive crucial updates on the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, particularly with the April 30 deadline for application submission to count past service. Recent developments, such as the Weingarten v DeVos court case and revisions in the SAVE plan, have clarified that part-time faculty members are indeed eligible for PSLF, despite previous misinformation from loan services like Navient.

Dr. Kathleen Addison, a member of the FACCC Part-Time Committee, and Dr. Jessica Saint-Paul will take the lead in this workshop designed to deliver vital and time-sensitive information, guiding participants through what they need to know and how to proceed with their applications. Full-time faculty members stand to benefit, especially if they have made loan payments during periods of part-time employment, as these payments may now qualify. With Dr. Addison's union already facilitating over $7 million in forgiveness through these programs, this workshop aims to share information about this opportunity before the application window closes, ensuring individuals can maximize their benefits.
